Hello,

I’m a music and entertainment industry major at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. I want to turn my love of music and technology into a full-time career after graduation.

What do I bring to the table?

I have an incredible passion for music, from creating it, to playing it, to producing it. In addition, I love scoring music for videos. I am most excited about being a part of the production of a project from start to finish.

Recent Work

Music Promotions Projects

In Music Promotions at Bradley University, I made two music videos to songs written by my classmates. My role was to film, edit, and produce the music videos. I received “A”’s on both projects.

Music in Media Projects

Another class I took at Bradley University is called Music in Media. In this class, we learned about how music is used in TV shows, and especially movies. Our assignments for the class was to take an already established scene from a famous movie and re-score it with a new song or set of songs.

(Disclaimer: I do not own the rights to any of the scenes or music used in these clips)

Boogie Nights

For our final project, we were given a scene in the movie, Boogie Nights without any music. The scene originally included three songs from the 1980s:

  • “Sister Christian” by Night Ranger

  • “Jessie’s Girl” by Rick Springfield

  • “99 Luftballoons” by Nena

Our assignment was to replace the first and last song, as a way to demonstrate that you may not always get the songs you want for a movie or TV show you are working on, but at the same time, convey the right message and tone. The new tracklist is:

  • “Here I Go Again” by Whitesnake

  • “Jessie’s Girl” by Rick Springfield

  • “The Trooper” by Iron Maiden

I received an “A” on the project, and my teacher said that my song choices complimented the scenes very well.

Argo

This was one of many projects we worked on in the class. In this case, since the movie takes place in the late 1970s, it makes sense to include a song from that time period. Not only that, but it’s also important to include a song that appropriately describes how a character is feeling in this particular scene. The song I used was “Wheel in the Sky” by Journey. This song perfectly fits not only the time period, but conveys the emotions that the main character was feeling.
